Celestron Promotes Ben Hauck to Senior Vice President, North American Sales

Torrance, CA (June 19, 2015)  – Celestron, the world’s #1 telescope brand and a leading optics innovator, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Hauck to Senior Vice President, North American Sales. Ben will oversee Celestron’s sales strategy as the company expands into new markets and deepens relationships with existing partners to drive continued growth.

“Ben is an invaluable asset to Celestron and has greatly contributed to the company’s success over the past six years,” remarked CEO Dave Anderson. “In his new role, Ben will continue to push the company to new heights with his strategic, innovative thinking.”

An industry veteran, Hauck has worked in the astronomy and optics market since 1997. After 13 years at a leading astronomy retailer, he joined Celestron in 2009 as Specialty Accounts Sales Manager. Hauck quickly proved his value to the organization and served Celestron as National Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales, US and Canada, before receiving his promotion today.

From an early age, Hauck has been an avid amateur astronomer, and fondly recalls exploring the night sky as a child with his mom’s 10” Dobsonian telescope. An advocate for science education, he routinely attends public outreach events and star parties to share the hobby of stargazing with the next generation of young astronomers.

Hauck’s interest in science led to extensive college coursework in physics, chemistry, and biology, though his educational path eventually led to a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University San Marcos. His career spans a wide range of experience, including sales, marketing, operations, website development and optimization, online marketing, and event management.
