The new Advanced Series family of computerized GoTo and non-computerized telescopes was designed to offer the novice or more advanced user a selection of models with the features and quality that serious amateurs can appreciate. These scopes come on NEW heavy-duty German Equatorial mounts with NEW ultra-sturdy 2" stainless steel legs and center tray for superior rigidity and vibration dampening. The Advanced Series comes in refractor, reflector and Schmidt-Cassegrain models. The refractor models range from a 4" to an impressive 6" aperture. For even more light gathering power there are 6", 8" and a NEW 10" Newtonian Reflector. There are also 5", 8" and 9 1/4" Schmidt-Cassegrain optical designs that feature Celestron's precision matched and hand-figured optical systems.

We are proud to offer the GT versions of the Advanced Series on a computerized GoTo
version of Celestron's sturdy CG-5 mount. Couple this solid mount with the included
computerized control system to utilize many of the same functions and features-like the
NexStar computer control system and an Autoguider port for long exposure deep sky
astrophotography-as Celestron's most advanced GoTo telescopes. GoTo models are
also upgradeable to GPS with the optional CN16 GPS Accessory (#93963) allowing your
telescope to pinpoint your position on the earth, the date and time, making the
alignment process faster and easier than ever before! These GoTo versions of the Advanced
Series also come loaded with new software features and over 40,000 database objects.
Capable of holding over 35 lbs of payload and slewing at 4º per second, you will be able to
instantly point to any of the celestial objects in the database.

$Advanced Series C4-R Refractor (#21016)$ These telescopes are carefully designed for the more advanced astronomer and feature exquisite optics on a heavy-duty mount. The optics of this telescope are made to exacting standards, with high quality materials to ensure top performance. The C4-R offers a 63% increase in image brightness over 80mm models, with the larger aperture delivering incredible images of the moon; Saturn and its ring structure; Jupiter and its belts; and hundreds of deep-sky objects, including galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.

The C6-N uses a
diffraction-limited parabolic primary mirrors for razor sharp star images across a wide field of view. The optics of this heavy-duty telescope are
manufactured to Celestron's uncompromising standards with star images that are classic textbook Airy disks.
Both C4-R and C6-N are mounted on the CG-4 mount. The mount features precision gears for extremely smooth motion. A counterweight, latitude scale, setting circles, and slow motion controls on both axes are standard, so you have a fully loaded telescope right from the start.

Mounted on the CG-5 EQ mount, both axes have precision worm gears for extremely smooth motion. Equipped with 2" steel legs, this heavy duty mount delivers jitter-free images. With adjustable height, the very rigid tripod has excellent damping characteristics and a
convenient accessory tray/leg brace for added strength. Included are setting circles on both axes, slow-motion controls and latitude scale. An adjustable counterweight makes it easy to point, balance and use. The C8-S optical system comes with StarBright® coatings and its large aperture offers light gathering power 843 times that of the human eye.
