Very good telescope but... Review by Ralph S.

It is a very good Newtonian and if you buy yourself a Barlow then it's even better;
but there are some problems with equatorial mount-latitude adjustment screw stripped off thread in the mount and I can't adjust telescope properly. I've made some DIY adjustments (proper sharp threaded bolt and some nuts) and it's all seems to be working fine. (Posted on 9/8/12)

This is my first purchase of a "real telescope" not something from wallgreens or walmart. I have enjoyed seeing the moon, now need to get out of the city to get views of the planets and nebulas. Highly recommend that you pick up the accessory kit for additional lenses and filters. Makes it easy on the eyes to see the moon if you have the moon filter on and finding objects with the 32mm wide angle eye piece than the 22mm that comes with the scope. The red dot finder is not the best but once you have it lined up, it will get the job done. (Posted on 8/1/12)

This is a really good scope to get to know the night sky. This is my first one and cannot fault it at all, even in the centre of belfast with lots of light pollution i have been able to find as far as saturn and even make out the shape of its rings with a not so powerful eyepiece. Its reasonably priced and does the job so i would recommend this to anyone :) (Posted on 5/18/12)
Nice scope for the serious beginner Review by Dannyblake

Nice little scope, with a few hints. The scope was out of collimation, so make certain that you make the effort to adjust this once it's set up. The viewfinder is terribly hard to use. There are several that are inexpensive and easy to use, so go ahead and make the investment. A 32 mm wide anglemisngreat for moon viewing. A Barlow is also reccomended. So far nice views of Jupiter, the Orion nebula, and a few nice star clusters have been possible.

Enjoy! (Posted on 3/3/12)
