I have owned the CGEM mount for many months now and I am totally impressed with it. Once calibrated the pointing accuracy is terrific. Even in blustery conditions recently it stood firm and delivered focussed images. Be warned this is not a light mount and I have resorted to putting it onto a fixed pier. I hope to have many years of pleasure out of this mount and I think it will deliver. It carries two scopes in tandem, two cameras and other bits without a quibble. It is also very quiet to use when slewing. I think it is fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. (Posted on 9/26/12)
I have been using this mount for about a month now. All I can say is fantastic! Even without the guider (Celestron Nexguide) with the two star align and the all sky polar alignment I was getting exposures at 1 minute +. The goto is dead on! Very stable mount. I do not know how to post pictures here. I hope Celestron allows the links. Here are some images taken with the C-GEM, C-8 and a Celestron Nexguide. These were all 10 X 5 Min/4 X Darks
