After I figured out how to properly do the initial alignment, (very important to take your time and accurately center the objects), the go to function works very well. However, the optics are what really matters. For a 3.54" scope, I presume this is very nice. I say that because I am a complete newbie to this hobby, but so far it has performed as advertised. Viewing Saturn clearly shows the rings, but not much other detail. Going down to higher magnification eyepieces, like 8mm, things start to fall apart. I'd presume due to the small aperture. I should have started out with at least a 6" model.
The only actual flaw I've found is with the 25 mm eyepiece included with the package. It has a visible coating flaw that runs the entire width of the eyepiece. (Posted on 5/9/12)
A little hard for the beginners to align the computerised part of the telescope but still really nice (Posted on 1/15/12)
