This scope is one of my favorite short scopes. The imaging is very good and as a beginner still I'm having a wonderful time with it.

I just purchased the Celestron ep's kit and look forward to enjoying some more imaging.

I would only say this about the battery life for the movement of the the scope is that you get high quality batteries or a power cord extension from the car. (Posted on 2/22/12)

Been using this telescope for a year now and have been really impressed.

Don't expect nasa quality imaging with this or any other scope on here, however you do get to see the moons of jupiter and the detailed banding round it. Saturn is the one every one wants to see and with this scope you can get a really impressive view on a clear night.
