This was my first real scope after falling for the so called department store scope. Assembly was not a problem after taking time to read through the instructions befor I attempted to start putting things together and then following them step by step. I had a little dificulty with my first attempt at alignment. I didn't get the polar alignment quite right. On the second night, after following the alignment procedure more closely and setting a perfect polar alignment, the results were spectacular. The GoTo performance was spot on. Just picked something out and the scope centered itself perfectly. The key is good polar alignment and carful scope alignment. For me the key is the calibration stars you can add after initial alignment. The mout is very stoutly built and can handle much more the 6in OTA, which means it will be easy to upgrade the optics as my skills improve. Great job Celestron. You have found a new loyal customer.
