I’m using the Digital Optical Microscope #44330 on my laptop's built-in webcam. Everything installs okay, but my computer either can’t see the microscope or says a webcam is in use. What do I do?

The computer’s webcam needs to be disabled:

1. In Windows, go My Computer from the Start Menu.

2. Right-click and select properties.

3. Click the hardware tab, then click on device manager and find and expand the Imaging Devices heading (click on the plus sign).

4.
Find the built-in webcam icon, right-click on it and click disable.

Reboot your computer. You may need to reboot more than once for it to successfully recognize the microscope.
