 How do I use my planetarium software package with NexRemote?
Answer If you have Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, NexRemote will allow you to connect your planetarium software using the virtual port feature.

From the settings screen (hand control image without the keypad), the virtual port creates a new serial port on your computer. When using your planetarium software, you should configure the COM port to match what you've selected in the virtual port. For more information, see the Settings Screen section of NexRemote’s help files.

NOTE: If you do not have an operating system that supports the virtual port feature, you can use the NexRemote Direct option of NexStar Observer List to connect to NexRemote.
