My NexStar SE optical tube is slipping in altitude
Answer

Your altitude clutch is slipping, causing the scope to droop in altitude.

Remove the optical tube (for safety), remove the hand control. Take out the hook that holds the hand control by unscrewing the three Philips screws holding it on the mount arm. Slightly tighten the nut exposed by removing the hook. This will create more friction for holding the tube to the mount.

Replace the hook and hand control.
