Once time has been acquired from GPS or entered manually, it can be viewed via the GPS menu (press the GPS button for manually entered time, then Position if the unit got the time from the GPS). The time you see displayed there is the universal coordinated time, not the local time. In addition, a static time is displayed and not a running time. The display will only change if you press GPS again.
When you have entered the time manually, you used a UTC offset. The accuracy of the time displayed on the GPS menu when the time is manually entered depends on your entry of the UTC offset. When viewing the information under your SkyScout’s SETTINGS menu or to re-enter a time manually, the UTC offset displays as zero after it has been entered, no matter what value you used when first inputting the time.
