 What Celestron telescopes-hand controls will work with SkyScout Connect?
Answer SkyScout Connect will work with any Celestron telescope with a NexStar hand control with firmware version 4.0 or higher. These are the flashable hand controls, so if you have a flashable NexStar hand control, it will support use with SkyScout Connect.

This includes all NexStar SLTs, NexStar SEs, CPCs and CGEMs.

For the NexStar GT, NexStar i Series, Advanced GT, CGE and NexStar GPS scopes, they must have newer, flashable hand controls to work with SkyScout Connect.

Older Celestron scopes, like the original NexStars, won’t work with SkyScout Connect.
