My Schmidt-Cassegrain cooling fan needs an open baffle tube to work. How can I cool my EdgeHD optical tube (OTA) since there is now a lens assembly in the baffle tube?
Answer Easy! First, the EdgeHD OTAs have built-in screened vents that allow the tube to cool while keeping out dust and debris. So do nothing and the tube is cooling faster than present Celestron OTAs.

Second, since all EdgeHD OTAs are Fastar compatible, the secondary mirror can be removed quickly and just as quickly replaced without affecting collimation. J
ust take out the secondary, safely put it aside and the tube is now open to cool more rapidly.

We expect that specialty fans will be soon available in the aftermarket to insert in the secondary cell to further speed cooling.
