The mount does have latitude limits.

However, at your own risk, you can use the tripod to extend the range. For lower or higher latitudes, the tripod legs would have to be adjusted to different lengths and the latitude adjustment compensated in order to go under 15 degrees or over 70 degrees.

Since this is beyond the design range of the system, balance will be an issue and the system may topple unless the tripod is properly secured or weighted down.
