NOTES

* All 32-bit and 64-bit systems refers to Windows XP and later OS.

Mac and Linux can run Windows virtual machines from VMware and Parallels to run Celestron software. Many have reported success, especially with VMware using VMware Tools to configure hardware USB, serial ports, etc. You can boot up in Windows on a Mac machine with Boot Camp and run these programs there as well.
Stock shipped before Fall 2009 may need to download updated Windows 7 drivers off the Support Tab on the Product page.
Files on the CD are for Windows XP. For Vista and Windows 7, please see the Celestron.com Knowledgebase articles under NexImage FAQs for workarounds and drivers.
NexGuide has a PC port for possible future firmware updates.
Older stock telescopes may have the NexRemote CD for Windows XP. Go to celestron.com/downloads and get the version that is compatible for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and 7.
SkyScout firmware updates can be done with Vista and Windows 7 32-bit systems using workarounds posted on celestron.com’s Knowledgebase under SkyScout FAQs.
Linux installlations for Mint and Ubuntu have successfully used the 44421.
