My SkyScout locate function – how does that work?
Answer Press LOCATE.

Select object menu a) Tonight's Highlights,  b)Planets,  c)Stars, etc.

Select your object from one of the lists. Press the SELECT button.

Note:  The "Direction Arrows are Active in Sighting Channel" message only comes on the first time you locate an object.  All subsequent times it will not show this message.

Move the SkyScout while looking through it, following the direction of the blinking red arrow. The blinking speeds up as you close on the object, letting you know you are close and to slow down you scan. Once you’ve centered it, the entire ring inside the SkyScout glows red.

The SkyScout will then be at a screen that lists the Object Name, Text Description, and Scientific Data.  Some objects may have Audio files listed as well.
