How do I get my NexImage to work with my Windows Vista 32 bit operating system?
Answer Read these instructions first before actually installing the software and camera.

1. Install the NexImage CD into your computer's CD Rom drive.

(The following instructions may differ a bit on your computer, depending on just how your view or theme is configured in Vista 32 - Classic Windows, Vista etc.)

2. From "My Computer", right click on the icon for your computer CD drive, and click on "Explore".
My Computer - Explore

3. Copy the contents of the CD over to a folder on your computers C:drive. (Usually a folder you create on the Desktop is best because you can easily find it later.) We will call this the CD folder.

4. Next, download the CamViA20 driver to your Desktop (but not to the CD folder).

5. Unzip the files to your Desktop. You should see the camvia20.inf file.

6. Copy camvia20.inf from the Desktop to the CD folder. Windows will prompt you about replacing the file. Say “Yes” to replacing camvia20.inf with the newer version.

7. Plug the NexImage camera into your computer's USB port.

 8. Your computer should detect the NexImage as a new device. (If your computer does not detect the NexImage, follow the steps in the next section.)

9. Follow the directions from the "Found New Hardware Wizard".

10. Select the option that "Install from a list or specific location".

11. Click on the "Browse" button and choose the CD folder on your Desktop containing the driver.

12. Once the driver is installed, the NexImage camera should operate on your Vista machine.

If your computer does not recognize the NexImage camera when plugged into the USB port, then:

1. Follow steps 1-7 above.

2. Press Start, and select Control Panel.
 Start Menu

3. Click on "System and Maintenance" and then click on the "System" option.

4. Choose "Device Manager" from the option on the menu bar at the left.

5. From the "Device Manager", right-click on "Unknown Imaging Device" and select the "Update Driver Software" option.

Device Manager

6. From here, choose the CD folder containing the new driver on your Desktop.

7. Once the driver is installed, the NexImage camera should operate on your Vista machine.
