Answer

Yes.

The SkyScout Connect allows the SkyScout to feed its GPS signal to your scope’s mount, providing it with the time and site information it needs as a part of the alignment process. However, the scope still needs to know where it’s pointed. You have to provide that information by means of the SkyAlign, one-star, two-star, etc. alignment.
