 What are the specifications for an AC adapter that will work with Celestron’s GOTO mounts?
Answer Most of Celestron’s GOTO mounts will work with an AC adapter that has these characteristics:

12VDC output
2.5 amps (2500 milliamps) current output
Inside tip positive
Inside diameter is 2.1mm
Outside diameter is 5.5mm
Jack length 10-15mm

Some smaller mounts might work with adapters with less amperage output.  Our largest, newest mount , the CGE Pro, works best with adapters delivering 5 amps maximum or higher.
