I'm having trouble installing the Nightscape drivers. How can I use the Windows device manager to help me install the drivers?
Answer

Open device manager on your Windows computer. Plug in the camera.  After device manager refreshes, expand the category at the bottom, Universal Serial Bus Controllers.  There will be an entry in the list with a yellow alert symbol.  Right click on this entry.  Choose update drivers.

In the pop-up window, browse your computer for the driver software. It is located in the folder called Nightscape Drivers on the AstroFX CD or in the same folder when downloaded and extracted from the zipped file from the Celestron.com website.  When you choose this location, be sure the checkbox “Include subfolders” is selected before clicking the next button.

This will successfully install the camera drivers on your system.  Device manager will now show the plugged in camera as “Celestron Nightscape CCD Camera”.
