CELESTRON DEEP SPACE CCD IMAGES

These 4 black and white images illustrate the versatility of the PixCel imager when used with optical systems from 3" fl. to 98" fl. for deep sky imaging. As one can see, even with just a 3" focal length, the Andromeda Galaxy fills the frame. With just a 5x increase in image scale, detail from the Fastar 8 can rival most amateur photos with fine structure readily visible in the SW spiral arms of M-31.

The Horsehead example images show the effects of image scale further increasing another 6x. The detail in the C-14 image is essentially "seeing condition limited". Note that this particular image was done under very steady seeing and shows very fine image quality from a 14" telescope.
