I put the amateur in amateur astronomy. This is my first telescope. I decided not to purchase a second hand scope from the astonomy club members (they all tried) and I didn't want to be the guy who 10 years from now has a closet full of scopes trying to sell them to the newbie. So I purchased the CPC 1100 Deluxe HD scope because of its HD optics and sundry features which makes it an extremely versatile scope. I have not regretted this decision. First night out I was seeing some amazing things. With the GPS and SkyAlign, finding and tracking targets was surprisingly simple and incredibly accurate. The first visit to dark skies I was comparing my optics to several of the other scopes out there and I was very pleased with what my scope was able to produce. All in all, this scope is a beauty and I am looking forward to using it for decades!!! (Posted on 3/19/12)Rate This Product
