The E-Lux series of eyepieces is available in 1 1/4" and 2" models. This is a highly economical traditional Plössl optical design series.

The 1 1/4" E-Lux is a 4-element Plössl with features that maximize it's performance at a very economical price. Features of this series include fully coated lenses (every air to glass surface is coated with anti-reflective coatings), eyepiece cups to reduce stray light, and each model is threaded for use with eyepiece filters.

The 2" E-Lux class is the best value 2" eyepieces on the market. It is a 3-element fully multicoated optical design (every air to glass surface is coated with several layers of high quality anti-reflective coatings). The 2" E-Lux provides a wider field of view and longer eye relief than standard Plössls.

Omni SeriesIf you are looking to move up to a higher quality eyepiece the Omni series provides more enhanced features in a wider selection of focal lengths. Celestron designed this series with the finer points in mind so you, the user, can benefit from the features that make this series unique. The Omni is a 4 -element premium symmetrical Plössl optical design. Features include blackened lens edges to minimize internal reflection and maximize contrast, multi-layer coating group on each lens surface to maximize light transmission and contrast, and each Omni goes through a two-step anodizing process to prevent reflection from the top eyepiece barrel, unlike most other manufactures who use reflective surfaces. Threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" Celestron thread-in filters.

X-Cel SeriesIf you are looking for an eyepiece that excels for planetary viewing, then Celestron’s X-Cel offers the unique features you are looking for. A 6-element fully multi-coated optical design, the X-Cel utilizes extra low dispersion (ED) glass on its most highly curved surfaces, to minimize chromatic aberration that can hinder sharp planetary views. With a wide 55° apparent field of view, and a large 25mm clear aperture the X-Cel is one of the most comfortable eyepieces to use. Every X-Cel eyepiece is parfocal with each other, meaning little or no focusing is needed when changing from low to high power. The X-Cel comes with soft rubber eyecups and a durable plastic case. In addition, if you are an eyeglass wearer, you will enjoy the 20mm eye relief available on each of the X-Cel focal lengths. Threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" Celestron thread-in filters.

Rated as best in their class by Sky and Telescope magazine, the Ultima eyepieces use a 5-element hybrid optical design. They feature long eye relief and a wide field, and each air-to-glass surface is fully multicoated to enhance contrast levels. These special eyepieces are computer designed to keep visual aberrations to an absolute minimum. They virtually eliminate the following aberrations: spherical, color, field curvature, coma, astigmatism, distortion and spherical distortion of the exit pupil. The inside surfaces and edges of all lenses are blackened, to keep out reflected light. Outside surfaces are flat black, with rubber grips for secure handling. Rubber eyecups are included both for comfortable use and to keep out extraneous light. Threaded barrels accept Celestron 1-1/4" thread-in filters. Lens and barrel caps are included for safe storage.

These are Celestron’s top-of-the-line eyepieces. As an extension of the popular Ultima line, the Axiom’s offer a wider field of view in both 1.25” and 2” barrel sizes. All Axiom oculars feature a 7-element design, to give you tack sharp star images across its extra wide, 70° apparent field of view*. All are fully multicoated with extra large pop-up eyecups to block unwanted stray light. Like the Ultima series, the Axiom optical design minimizes the following aberrations: spherical, color, field curvature, coma, astigmatism, distortion and spherical distortion of the exit pupil. The edges of the optical elements are blackened to minimize internal reflections and increase contrast.
1-1/4" threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" Celestron filters.

*The 50mm has a 50° apparent field of view.

Eyepieces - Special Item# 94182
The Celestron Cheshire Collimation Eyepiece is ideal for precise collimation of Newtonians and helpful for aligning Schmidt-Cassegrains. This special eyepiece fits into 1¼" focusers or diagonals. Alignment is easy using the small opening on one end and thin cross hairs at the other end. The collimation eyepiece is more accurate than the simple Collimation Tool.

Eyepieces - Special Item #94171 Item # 94171, Micro Guide Eyepiece (12.5mm) 1-1/4"

This multi-function guiding eyepiece features a laser-etched reticle with a built-in battery illuminator. The eyepiece is a multicoated 12.5mm Abbe (4-element) Orthoscopic. Usage possibilities include: direct guiding on stars outside the center of the field of view; greatly improved off-axis guiding to capture much fainter, sharply focused guide stars without reducing limiting magnitude; and measuring position angles and separation of double stars.Scale Microguide The Micro Guide Eyepiece is totally free of internal reflections and offers sufficient eye relief for the reticle to be viewed easily, even with eyeglasses. Its finely etched micrometer scale has gradations 50 microns apart and 15 microns wide. Included are: the eyepiece, built-in cordless illuminator with adjustable brightness control, batteries and instructions. The apparent field of view is 42°

Item # 94169, 10mm Plössl Reticle Eyepiece 1-1/4"

Eyepieces - Special Item # 94169Guiding (or reticle) eyepieces are mandatory for guided astrophotography. They keep a guide star stationary during long exposures to avoid star trailing. This 5-element guiding eyepiece has a reticle pattern that is a .0075" double spaced line system. Reticle CrosshairThe optics are multicoated for increased contrast and have long eye relief. The high power is ideal for guiding and it has a 50° apparent field of view. This type of reticle pattern allows you to position the guide star in the middle square or at the intersection of two lines, whichever is easier for you. An optional illuminator is required.

Barlow Lenses

Barlow lenses offer an easy, economical way to increase the magnification range of your eyepieces, and Celestron carries two of these highly useful lenses. A Barlow lens doubles the magnifying power of your eyepiece by doubling its effective focal length. For example, an 18mm eyepiece used with a 2x Barlow lens would have the magnifying power of a 9mm eyepiece. It’s like having two eyepieces in one! If you’re looking for an affordable way to achieve high-power viewing of the moon and planets, double stars and even close-up views of terrestrial subjects, a Barlow lens is the answer. Barlow lenses mount into either your telescope’s focuser or visual back.

Item # 93326, 2x 1-1/4" Omni

Barlow Lenses Item# 93326This is a high quality 2x Barlow that doubles the magnification of all 1.25" eyepieces. This economically priced Barlow has great features like, low profile, 2-element fully-multicoated optical design and blacked lens edges.

Item # 93506, 2x 1-1/4" Ultima

Barlow Lenses Item# 93506This Ultima Barlow lens is, without doubt, the #1 choice among amateur astronomers who want the best performance from their optics. The Ultima Series Barlow (2x - 1-1/4") is an air-spaced, 3-element apochromatic design with a 27mm clear aperture. This lens features a very high quality, fully multicoated design. Amazingly compact and lightweight, it’s just 5 ounces and 2.75" in length.
