This refractor is packed with great features and excellent optics including our high quality ED glass. The refractor style 80ED (APO) features a 2" rack and pinion focuser and has a bracket that can adapt to a photo tripod. ED glass provides excellent color correction and razor sharp images and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration usually seen during planetary and lunar viewing. With a focal length of 600mm (f/7.5) the 80ED refractor is well suited for wide field astrophotography as well as nature photography. This telescope comes complete with a 20mm 1.25" eyepiece, erect image diagonal and 6x30 finderscope.
CG-5 Mount — Precision engineered for stability. Our new German Equatorial mount has precision worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth stability. The key element that makes this system the most stable in its class is the NEW heavy-duty tripod with larger and more substantial legs that offer excellent damping characteristics for more stable views. The CG-5 also has a convenient latitude scale for easier alignment and an optional polar finder scope for the ultimate in precision alignments. The C80ED-RGT Specifications:
