I am new to Astronomy, recently i bought a Celestron Astromaster 130EQ as being a beginner its a good price, however it only comes with 2 lenses which is fine for getting started & looking at the moon & seeing some moons around Jupiter.
As I have got to grips with the scope I felt I wanted more & this eye piece & filter kit is perfect, It has really transformed the telescope, although i have not seen the moon I have managed to look at Jupiter & its moons & a couple of Nebula I can see so much more.
I still haven't used every lens but I am very impressed with the Plössl 17mm which has quite a wide aspect & adds so much depth.
The case seems well put together, foam lined, with foam cut-outs for each lens & filter, there is even an additional section which i am using for my original lenses, so the case isn't just designed for the kit.
each lens & filter has protective covers/cases & the case is key lockable, although the locks seem very poor the clasps hold very well.

This set is an update of the set I bought in 2003, the only difference being the focal length selection (and in fact I feel this set offers better focal lengths than the original set).
This is an excellent set for beginners because it gives you everything you need - a variety of focal lengths covering the spectrum of low, medium & high power magnifications, a simple 2x Barlow lens that doubles each magnification and a set of high quality color filters that enhance planetary features.
If you own a 6" or smaller aperture telescope, these eyepieces are the only ones you'll ever need (high dollar eyepieces in small scopes won't change what you can see). If your scope's aperture is 8" or larger, you'll eventually want to upgrade to higher quality eyepieces.
The Celestron 1.25" Eyepiece & Filter Set offers a durable metal case, several economical but serviceable oculars, great variety, high quality colored filters and all at an unbeatable value.
