The SLT hand control has EQ-North and EQ-South listed, but there is not wedge. How can I use the mount equatorially?

You will need to remove the mount from its Celestron tripod.

The mount base has a 1/4 x 20 threaded hole that can be used with aftermarket tripods that can be aligned equatorially. Attach it to the tripod’s 1/4 x 20 screw.

A heavy-duty photo tripod with a pan head that has a degree scale can be used as well. (It must be sturdy enough to hold the mount arm and attached scope.) As one way to polar align this combination; align the direction of the pan handle to the north and then tilt it back to an angle equal to 90 minus your latitude.
