The above picture of Saturn was taken in France 13th of October 2001 with a Celestron Nexstar 5, a Barlow Celestron Ultima x2 and a Webcam Philipps ToUCam Pro. It is the addition of 500 pictures using IRIS program. The picture of Jupiter was taken at a higher altitude of 1200 meters (~400 ft). Used the same equipment as the Saturn shot. The pictures were taken between 00h21 and 00h24 TU on the 13th of October 2001. The conditions were very good without diffraction. Added 150 pictures, using IRIS : >Resize x3 >Wavelet x y 6 >Load X6 >Add y6 >Add y5 >(Add y4, Y3, Y2 ) x3 >Unsharp 4 41 then color adjustment with Paint Shop Pro : Split to CMYK, Black : contrast +20%, Luminosity +20%, Combine from CMYK and resize 33%. The two occultation of Saturn by the moon pictures have been >Unsharp 1.5 1 1. |
