Why is the time being displayed in the hand control incorrect?
November 29, 2018
There are a few Celestron computerized telescope models that are not equipped with a real-time clock such as NexStar Evolution, SE, LCM and SLT models. When the telescope is powered on and an alignment method is chosen, the last-entered time and location are automatically displayed. Pressing Undo at the prompt will allow you to go through and change the time and location information. Time is entered after the location and is also prompted. You can input either 24-hour military time or local time. If you enter a local time, such as 8:53, you will be asked to select AM or PM as the next step. Pressing Undo at any step will allow you change the values if you made an error.
You can also connect the SkySync GPS Accessory #93969 to your telescope’s auxiliary port to receive the correct time and location on Earth.
