Are the motors and gears used in the NexStar SE line the same as those used in the NexStar i?

The NexStar SE and "i" series lineup all use metal gears.

The NexStar 4 SE and 5 SE drive bases use motors and gears that are similar to those used in the current SLT drive base.

The NexStar 6 SE and 8 SE drive bases use gears similar to the larger NexStar "i' series mounts. The motors are similar to those used in the Advanced CG-5 GT German equatorial mount.
