Gamma is disabled in the Skyris cameras. We've had great success solar imaging with The Imaging Source cameras and Skyris cameras without using any gamma control. Some monitors do a better job of displaying under brighter outdoor conditions. But even then, it's best to shade the laptop screen for solar imaging.
