How do I use the harness strap included with my Granite ED or TrailSeeker binoculars?

Granite ED and TrailSeeker binoculars include a binocular harness strap similar to a photographer’s Cuban hitch. This harness strap serves a dual purpose. Compared to the conventional neck strap (also included with your binoculars), the harness distributes the weight load of the binoculars to your shoulders and torso, taking the strain off your neck. It is very comfortable and also safely keeps the binoculars handy when carrying them during extended use.

To use the harness, first find the small straps (about 6 inlong) that came with your binoculars. Remove the regular strap to get it out of the way. Thread the shorter straps (one on either side) onto the binoculars.

Once you've threaded the short straps, you can don the harness. The mesh side will go against your back, while the perforated fabric side will face outwards. Pass your ams and shoulders through the two loops so the harness panel rests on your back. Next, clip the binocular's two short straps to the swivel hooks on the harness. You are now set to observe with your binoculars.
