🔒 Scam Alert: Protect Yourself When Shopping for Celestron Products

We’re actively fighting fraudulent ads and websites and want to help you avoid them, too.

🚨 What’s Happening
Cybercriminals are creating fake ads and websites that impersonate Celestron and our authorized dealers. These scams often appear on social media or lesser-known websites and may feature unusually low prices, pressure to act fast, or questionable payment methods.

The catch? The products aren’t real—and they never arrive. Victims are left without their money, without a telescope, and without support.

We are actively reporting these websites to web hosts and payment processors to have them taken down. Your vigilance helps protect the entire astronomy community.

🛡️ How to Stay Safe

Stick to Trusted Sources
Only buy from Celestron.com or our Authorized Dealers to ensure you're getting genuine products and full warranty coverage.

Verify a Dealer

🚩 Spot the Scams
Be wary of:

  • Prices that seem too good to be true
  • Pressure to buy immediately
  • Requests to pay through unconventional or peer-to-peer payment apps, especially outside of a secure checkout process with no buyer protection

🔍 Check the Account
On social platforms, scammers often use brand-new or low-activity profiles. Look for verified badges, consistent post history, and real engagement before trusting what you see.

📣 Report Impersonators
If you come across a suspicious account posing as Celestron or one of our dealers, use the platform’s built-in tools to report it.
