Celestron Debuts an Array Of New Products For 2012

Binoculars, Microscopes, Telescopes, Weather Stations And More Expand Celestron's Universe.

Torrance, CA (January 10, 2012) – Celestron, a leading designer and manufacturer of telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, microscopes, weather stations, GPS devices and related accessories, is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of new products for 2012 in the outdoor, science, and education categories.

This year Celestron's extraordinary SkyProdigy™ series will see two new additions – the SkyProdigy 102 refractor style telescope and the SkyProdigy 6 Schmidt-Cassegrain style telescope. The AstroMaster telescope line will also expand to include three new models – the AstroMaster LT 60AZ refractor, the AstroMaster LT 70AZ short refractor, and the AstroMaster LT 76AZ Newtonian reflector.

In the outdoor electronics arena, Celestron is debuting two new products - WindGuide™ and WindGuide™ Plus. Basic features like wind speed, gust, temperature, and chill measurements, make WindGuide perfect for wind sailing, parasailing, skydiving, and more. And with advanced features like altitude, humidity, and barometric pressure readings, the WindGuide Plus model is surprisingly well priced. Both join Celestron's extensive line of recreational/GPS devices that include the TrekGuide, reTrace, and CoursePro series.

Two exciting new Amoeba™ USB digital microscope models are also being released. These exceptional two-in-one microscopes pair a biological microscope for specimen slides with a stereoscopic microscope for solid objects. Used with a traditional base or as a handheld instrument, they are capable of capturing images or recording video for digital computer viewing. Additionally, Celestron is offering an upgraded PentaView™ LCD digital microscope, as well asa new heavy-duty, dual-purpose, entry-level Micro360™ microscope.

Celestron is also introducing nine upgraded models to the popular UpClose® binocular series. The new UpClose® G2 binoculars, plus one new monocular, bring brighter, sharper, multi-coated optics together with a stronger, sleeker, more ergonomic design that truly elevates the already best-selling line.
