Celestron Introduces New LandScout Spotting Scopes
May 24, 2013
Scout ahead with an economical spotting scope that’s best in class for its price point.
Torrance, CA (May 24, 2013) – When you’re ready to get closer to nature than ever before, let Celestron’s new LandScout series be your guide. Featuring fully-coated optics and adjustable magnification, these lightweight, compact spotting scopes provide crisp visuals when out hiking or on the range. LandScout is also competitively priced, making it an ideal choice for both first-time spotting scope users and seasoned sportsmen seeking a reliable backup scope.
Available with a 50 mm or 60 mm objective lens with 10-30x and 12-36x zoom eyepieces, respectively, LandScout is the pinnacle of entry-level spotting scope design. The fully-coated optics increase light transmission for bright, sharp images, while the zoom eyepiece provides adjustable magnification: get a wide field of view for general observation, then zoom in for detailed, up-close views. The large rubber-covered eyepiece grip and focus wheel are easy to adjust, even when wearing gloves, and the rotating tripod mount allows for quick eyepiece orientation.
All of this is encased in a durable yet light polycarbonate body that weighs in at just over a pound. Additionally, LandScout comes with a tabletop tripod and a soft case for convenient transportation.
Both LandScout models are now shipping and are available through Celestron’s vast network of dealers. Please visit Celestron.com for dealer locations or more information.
