Celestron Introduces New Regal M2 Spotting Scopes

The next generation of the high-end Regal F-ED series boasts a complete upgrade inside and out for the sharpest viewing experience.

Torrance, CA (June 7, 2013) – With the Regal F-ED series, Celestron broke into the high-performance spotting scope market with ED (extra low dispersion) glass and fully multi-coated optics. Now, Celestron is proud to announce its next generation: the Regal M2. Available in 60 mm, 80 mm, and 100 mm models, each Regal M2 spotting scope sports the advanced features and unparalleled sharp images coveted by outdoorsmen and birders alike.

Regal M2’s most notable new addition is the proprietary XLT coating on its ED objective lens, the same optical coating found on Celestron’s top-of-the-line telescopes. Engineered to provide an overall image quality to rival competitors’ more expensive models, Regal M2’s dynamic optics reveal truer color, sharper contrast, minimal chromatic aberration, and higher resolution. The result is bright, crisp images during both day and night—perfect for nature observation, birdwatching, and even casual stargazing.

On the exterior, Regal M2’s magnesium alloy body decreases the overall weight of the scope by 14% compared to its predecessor, the Regal F-ED. A refined dual-focusing mechanism provides the coarse and fine control necessary to quickly bring subjects into focus and fine tune the image. The rotating tripod mount with audible detents helps you orient your eyepiece in the perfect viewing position, while the sliding sunshade with sighting line shields the objective lens from moisture and glare. The variable zoom eyepiece with twist-up eyecups not only provides spectacular images and a comfortable viewing experience, but accommodates an SLR camera (with a T-adapter ring) so you can capture stunning nature photos.

All three Regal M2 spotting scopes are now shipping and are available through Celestron’s vast network of dealers. Please visit Celestron.com for dealer locations or more information.
