Celestron Launches Golf GPS Device

CELESTRON INTRODUCES NEW COURSEPRO GOLF GPS AT THE 2011 CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

Torrance, CA (January 4, 2011) – Celestron, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, weather stations, microscopes and related accessories, today announced the launch of CoursePro Golf GPS at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

CoursePro is a GPS-enabled device that helps golfers by providing unique course information for at least 20 golf courses including distances to the front, center and back of the green for each hole along with the par.

CoursePro is available in two models – CoursePro (Suggested Retail Price: $99) and CoursePro Elite (Suggested Retail Price: $149).

Additional features, such as scorecard data and analysis and hazard mapping are included in the CoursePro Elite model. The CoursePro Elite has a course memory of 100 courses and uses a sunlight readable TFT transflective color LCD screen.

Both CoursePro models have access to downloadable information for 20,000 golf courses around the world from the Celestron website.
