Headed by Dave Murray and Anne Barton, the office will support Celestron’s growing roster of international dealers and retailers.
Torrance, CA (December 3, 2013) – Celestron, the world’s number-one telescope designer and manufacturer, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first overseas office in the United Kingdom, which will be devoted to international sales and dealer support.
Based outside of London, the new Celestron office will be headed by International Business Development Manager Dave Murray, who has been working remotely from the UK since coming onboard in September. Longtime International Sales Manager Anne Barton has also joined Dave to work in the new office, having relocated from Celestron’s home office in Torrance on November 30.
“This is a fantastic move for Celestron as we continually expand our influence into the international market,” commented Dave Anderson, CEO of Celestron. “Dave started strong at Celestron with stellar ideas for increasing our presence overseas, and we’re excited that he and Anne now have an official Celestron home base where they can collaborate together.”
“This decision in locating the international management team as close as possible to the central time zone highlights the continuing huge commitment to the international consumer optics market by Celestron’s senior management and owners,” added Dave Murray and Anne Barton. “We are both fully committed to the growth of the Celestron brand throughout all market sectors across the globe, and having a central office that we can both work out of will mean that we can be more proactive, cohesive, and focused on meeting and ultimately exceeding our distributors’ needs and demands in an ever developing and dynamic international marketplace.”
Celestron will share more details about the United Kingdom office, including the address and contact information, as they are finalized.
