There are a ton of exciting celestial events this year!
January 31 - Full Moon, Supermoon, Blue Moon, Total Lunar Eclipse
A rare opportunity when the Moon is a Supermoon, a Blue Moon, and a Red Moon. What creates this trifecta; a Supermoon is the closest a Full Moon will be to the Earth, Blue Moon occurs when there are two Full Moons in the same month, and a Red Moon occurs during a total lunar eclipse when the Moon passes completely through the Earth's dark shadow. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of western North America, eastern Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Ocean. This phase occurs at 13:27 UTC.
