How can I adjust the CGE Pro for latitudes higher than 42 degrees?
July 23, 2009
If you live at a latitude higher than 42 degrees you will need to change the orientation of the threaded plate the latitude adjustment bolt passes through.
Remove the scope and counterweights and point the RA axis upwards. Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, remove the four bolts holding the two blocks the threaded plate is mounted on and move the assembly down to the four lower holes. Put the four bolts back in and tighten everything down. You may need to slightly loosen the 4 bolts on the top portion of the plate with a 4 mm Allen wrench during the process.
