I am using SkyScout Connect with my Celestron GoTo telescope. Do I still need to align my scope?

Yes. The SkyScout Connect does allows the SkyScout to feed its GPS signal to your scope’s mount, providing it with the time and site information it needs as a part of the alignment process. However, the scope still needs to know where it’s pointed. You have to provide that information by means of the SkyAlign, One-Star, Two-Star, etc, alignment methods.
