I’m looking at my Celestron product and it has a serial number on it. Can you tell me the model, type and year it was made?

Unfortunately, no.

Although many Celestron products have serial numbers, we do not maintain a database to cross-reference these serial numbers by product and date of manufacture. Nor do we have a database of serial numbers for current products. Currently, serial numbers are only used in the manufacturing process. You can use the serial number to identify a particular product for personal purposes (e.g., noting for insurance records, etc.). Please be aware that we will not be able to provide any information for you based on a serial number.
