In 2013, Celestron introduced the Advanced VX series—a range of portable, high-performance telescopes and mounts. Celestron engineers meticulously crafted Advanced VX for astroimaging, incorporating all the best features from Celestron's prior German equatorial mounts and adding new innovations based on customer feedback. Astroimager Cody Peterson purchased his AVX shortly after the launch.
