Combine top-of-the-line performance with unlimited versatility, and you have the CPC Deluxe RASA 11". This system brings together Celestron’s Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) 11" optical tube with the heavy-duty CPC DX dual-fork altazimuth mount to create a cost-effective, high-performance astrograph solution. It delivers unmatched value in aperture, speed, field of view, and optical performance, making it ideal for astrophotography, wide-angle sky surveys, and space situational awareness (SSA)/space domain awareness (SDA) applications.

Fast, Wide-Field Imaging
At the heart of this system is the Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) 11 V2, a fast f/2.2 wide-field design that captures exceptional detail in a fraction of the time required by slower instruments. Its 620 mm focal length delivers expansive views of deep-sky objects, comets, and satellites while dramatically reducing exposure times—ideal for both scientific imaging and survey work. Shorter exposures also lessen tracking demands on the CPC Deluxe mount, and in many cases, autoguiding isn’t necessary.

Capturing detailed images is easier than ever with Celestron’s Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA) V2, the perfect companion to today’s top astronomical cameras. This fast, wide-field f/2.2 system allows for shorter exposure times compared to traditional f/10 astroimaging without sacrificing resolution. Because shorter sub-exposure times are possible, the CPC Deluxe mount won’t need to track accurately over extended periods. The short focal length also reduces tracking demands. In many cases, autoguiding is not required.

The RASA 11" also features a 43.3 mm optimized image circle, providing a 4.0° field of view with RMS spot sizes under 4.4 μm across the entire field, ideal for full-frame imaging sensors. The result is pinpoint stars and sharp detail from edge to edge, with minimal vignetting. Excellent optical performance extends to sensors with diagonals up to 52 mm providing a 4.8° field of view.

Advanced Optical Engineering
The RASA 11" design uses a four-element rare-earth glass lens group to correct for false color, coma, and field curvature. Every surface is coated with Celestron’s StarBright XLT multi-coatings, ensuring maximum light throughput for brighter, higher-contrast images. The system includes 72.8 mm of back focus to accommodate a wide variety of cameras, with M42 and M48 adapters included for flexibility.

To support demanding imaging applications, the RASA 11" is equipped with the Ultra-Stable Focus System (USFS), which employs a precision linear ball bearing to minimize focus shift and mirror flop. It is fully compatible with the optional Celestron Focus Motor for automated focusing. An integrated 12V MagLev cooling fan accelerates cooldown and circulates filtered air, ensuring thermal stability during long imaging sessions. Dual dovetail rails allow accessories to be attached on either side of the tube and provide increased optomechanical stability. A dust cover is also included to protect the optics.

Precision Mount and Control
The CPC Deluxe computerized dual-fork mount anchors the RASA 11" with rock-solid stability. Its drive system features a 6-inch brass gear, stainless-steel worm gear, and steel/nylon ball bearings, providing smooth tracking and highly accurate GoTo performance. The included heavy-duty tripod offers a portable yet stable foundation, with adjustable steel legs and an aluminum accessory tray.

The mount works with the NexStar+ hand controller, giving access to a 40,000+ object database. Users can also connect via USB for direct computer control. Alignment is simplified with SkyAlign technology, which guides you through centering any three bright stars. For long-exposure astroimaging, adding the HD Pro Wedge enables equatorial tracking and advanced features such as All-Star Polar Alignment and Permanently Programmable Periodic Error Correction (PPEC). Unlike many equatorial systems, the CPC Deluxe mount tracks smoothly through the meridian without requiring a flip, keeping targets centered in the best part of the sky.

A Complete Imaging System
The CPC Deluxe RASA 11" is designed exclusively for imaging—there are no eyepieces or visual accessories. It offers unmatched value in aperture, speed, field of view, and optical performance in a convenient, integrated package. Whether your mission is deep-sky astrophotography, space domain awareness, wide-angle surveys, or satellite and transient object monitoring, the CPC Deluxe RASA 11" delivers professional results in a ready-to-go system.
